Did you know that sea turtles return to the same beach where they were born to lay their eggs? It’s like they have a built-in GPS that tells them where to go! This special beach is called their 'natal beach.' They travel long distances across the ocean to get there every few years to lay their eggs in the sand.

Fun Fact: Did you know that not all sea turtle eggs hatch into baby turtles? Some of the eggs are used by the mother turtle as a clever trick! She lays some eggs that won’t hatch at the top of the nest to protect the real eggs underneath from predators like birds and crabs. It’s her way of keeping her future babies safe!
